WHAT IS THE LEGAL SYSTEM?
We must first define what we mean by ‘Law’, before we can discuss how it is applied and the role it plays in society. We know there is law, but what does it mean? And how is it defined?
In the UK, laws are made by a group of people called Parliament. The House of Commons proposes and idea for a new law which is called a Bill, which then requires approval of The House of Lords. Once a bill has completed all the parliamentary stages in both Houses, it is ready to receive the Royal Assent. This is when the King formally agrees to make the Bill into legislation by authorising the introduction of an Act of Parliament (law). The Acts have sanctions and/or penalties which are recognised by all; the Government, Parliament and the Judiciary, and are enforced by authorised organisations.
It is difficult to give a simple definition of ‘The Legal System’, but one may find it helps to think of it as; ‘A lawful system that covers how all civil and criminal laws are made, used and enforced’.
A fundamental part of any legal system is its constitution. A constitution is the basic law of the state providing the rules by which the state is governed and setting out the rights and responsibilities of the state and its citizens.
Constitutions are important because they essentially set out the broad principles concerning who can make law. They also allocate the balance of power between the main institutions of the state; the Government, Parliament and the Judiciary, and provide the framework for the use of these institutions' powers.
The volume of legislation makes the law complex hence why, legal systems become difficult to comprehend.

Solomon & Law Associates, paralleled with a panel of trusted and reliable, SRA and The General Council of the Bar regulated Solicitors and Barristers have come together, sharing experiences and knowledge to achieve the best possible results, whatever the matter may be. From time-to-time, Solomon & Law Associates contracts with Solicitors and Barristers on mutually beneficial commercial terms and so, on a case-by-case basis. These professionals are authorised and regulated by the SRA and/or The General Council of the Bar in their personal capacity and this authorisation and regulation does not apply to Solomon & Law Associates.
The SRA has outlined the importance of unregulated firms that employ Solicitors. As Solomon & Law Associates is unregulated, it does not operate contrary to Section 12 of the LSA 2007 in performing the functions of a Solicitor and/or any other authorised litigator, neither is it selling its services as "A Law Firm".
